UN Headquarters Welcomes “Fascinating Guizhou:
A Heaven Of Myriad Mountains”
“Fascinating Guizhou: A Heaven of Myriad Mountains” was recently in the spotlight at the United Nations Headquarters as the Guizhou Provincial People's Government of China and Guizhou Provincial Tourism Development Commission partnered with the Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) and Sino-American Culture and Arts Foundation to put the focus on this Chinese province in the 2017 Guizhou China Global Tourism Promotion and Presentation. Lu Yongzheng, Vice Governor of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government lead other Government officials from Guizhou attended the conference and presented Guizhou to the guests.
The event included a photography exhibition that displayed the splendid scenery and enchanting culture of Guizhou and a conference that promoted the tourism of the province. Hosted by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government of China, co-hosted by Guizhou Provincial Tourism Development Commission, and the Sino-American Friendship Association, the event attracted more than 150 guests, including government officials, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, and Chinese and American media, who gathered at the UN to learn more about Guizhou, which has more than 20 ethnic groups, endless charming cultural stories, and amazing landscapes to explore.
New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, U.S. Congressman Joseph Crowley and Grace Meng sent greetings to congratulate the organizers. Mayor Bill De Blasio stated that the evening’s celebration of Chinese culture was a terrific opportunity to honor the diversity on which our global city rises.”
